BEFORE YOUR SESSION

Where do I start?

We start with a brief phone conversation

Call 0490 860 889, leave your name, number, and when you are available to speak.
If it’s handier, send an email to admin@almapsychology.com.au

We will contact you promptly — usually within 24 hours — and you can have a free phone consultation with Sergio for about 15 minutes.
This is a chance for us to both figure out if we should set up a first session.

We can talk about what you are looking for, ask questions, and we will see if we can work well together.
Then we’ll let you know how we might help you, when we’re available, how we work and discuss fees.

If it seems like a good fit for us both, we’ll book your first session.

Please note evening sessions (starting at 5pm or later) attract an additional fee

What happens after I book the first session?

Some forms to fill in

To maximise your session time, complete the ‘Informed Consent’ and ‘Client Information’ forms.
Bring them to your first appointment. Click "Forms To Fill" to find them.

What should I expect in the first session?

Assessment - to form a plan for treatment

An assessment of your life stage, goals and concerns, so we can begin to form a plan for treatment.
You will get an explanation of what to expect in sessions.

Exposing feelings and thoughts can be hard and sometimes lead to feeling worse initially.
These feelings are normally temporary, and, when processed properly, lead to longer lasting benefits and greater happiness. You won’t have to be burdened with them in the same way in the future

If after this session we don’t think this is the best service for you, we can refer you to someone better suited to you.
